NEWS & RESULTS August 16, 2009 Race 5 of the PDKS season was held at Selinsgrove Raceway Park. Matt entered both Lights and Heavy classes to get as much track time as possible. We ran thru the practices getting faster each time we hit the track. In qualifying for the Lights we ran our fastest lap to that point, a 13.02. That was good enough for a 14th starting position in the 29 car field. In heavy's we ran just a tick faster, posting a 12.98 second lap. That was good enough for 16th in the 25 car field. The lights feature started with a multi car wreck coming off turn 2. Matt spun down over the bank was did not hurt the kart. The kart was very fast on long green flag runs and we finished a somewhat disappointing 10th. On the start of the heavy feature Matt got stuck outside and fell back to the 22nd spot. The kart was handing very well and he picked his way thru the field to finish a very good 8th place. The final race is August 30th at Shellhammer's Speedway.
